Sheer boredom...

Saturday, April 24, 2010:
Two days into week 28 and 15 days into bedrest. How am I surviving? I sometimes wonder myself.
My mom left yesterday afternoon to return home and left me somewhat panicked not having someone here in case something happened. Well, I persevered and made it. I can deal with sleeping alone in a big house in the middle of nowhere. (I do have a gun :) ), but the thought of something happening with myself beyond my control, is the worry. You can sleep for so long, read so much, watch so many tv shows, play around on the computer, before you can't take it anymore. Sometimes I opt to just stare out the window looking for something new. I feel like I've become the neighborhood watch gal--not that I'm reporting anything suspicious, but I 've noticed people's schedules and what they do outside when they are home. You have to remember we DO live in the middle of nowhere--gated community on a lake that suddenly has exploded with activity as I'm assuming the majority of these vacant homes in the winter are now their summer homes from whereever they have come from.
My body hurts all over. It's amazing how sitting on your butt or laying down all the time can affect how you feel. At times I make the long journey to the bathroom and wonder if my knees are going to buckle. Whatever muscle is there has surely atrophied. Ugh. I can't wait to be active again-run, walk, go out to my mailbox to get the mail. Simple things. I pray I don't get a blood clot; I make sure I do my foot pumps and leg lifts.
My appetite has surely ramped up. Geez. I'm like a human garbage machine eating everything in site. Those boys must be hungry!
Kris comes home around supper time tonight... I can't wait! It will be nice to talk to a human being again :) Tomorrow is move day--I probably won't have internet for a while=no posts.
