Thursday, April 22, 2010:
The past two-three days haven't been that exciting, so I haven't had the motivation to write a bunch of nothing. Kris has been gone for work all week so in comes my ma.
The week has been a rollercoaster of contractions. I've had to call the home nurse several times requesting boluses of medication to calm those down. It gets kind of old after a while. I wonder when I can take charge and just give myself one;I suppose that wouldn't be medically sound. So, I get to lay around and be shaky--writing, holding something, it all shakes. I guess that would be my only complaint at this time from the medication.
My mother has taken over the packing here getting our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area pretty squared away plus making me meals and doing the dishes. I assume there are alot of people out there that would love to have their mommy take care of them on a daily basis but I find it kind of difficult to accept. I haven't lived at home since I was 17, so I have definitely been self-sufficient and not in need of someone to take care of me. Guess I better enjoy it while I can.
Yesterday was an emergent OB appointment to make sure I didn't have any problems with fluid loss. It was tested and came out negative with their various litmus and crystal tests. Everything is intact--good news. Otherwise, I would have had an ambulance ride straight to the hospital. Today is a follow up appointment (as yesterday covered just the emergent issue) to make sure everything is on track. My last appointment here in Illinois--kind of bittersweet as I haven't been that impressed with the OB here yet feel that they have put a lot of work into my care. Oh well-what's a girl to do?
I'm excited for the things to come our way. Moving this weekend to Madison (Sun Prairie), same job in a different location (well not for several months from now), Kris will have a new job (less travel-yea!), and the daily wait for these two boys to grow, mature, and show their appearances in this world. I am excited to see them and be a mother!
